Upcoming Events:

Do You Love Christmas Music?

Music in the Capitol, Saturday Dec. 16 from 10am-11am, is a wonderful event put on every December by the Salem District Oregon Music Teachers Association, of which Sara is a member. If you'd like to perform holiday music or anything festive, this is your chance in a very low-pressure environment. Family and friends are encouraged to come, but please know that other people will be passing by to tour the building and look at the giant Christmas tree and train, so try not to be offended by those distractions--we're sort of "background music", which is a great opportunity to try your hand at performing!

Spring Studio Piano Recital 2018

Friday, May 4 at 6pm-7:30pm, at the Unitarian Universalist Church 5090 Center Street (southeast corner of Center & Cordon Rds). We have plenty of room for anyone you'd like to invite! This is a "dressy" event. Please bring a treat to share at the reception afterward.

Some pictures of our October 2017 costume recital. Thank you to everyone who participated!

Interested in playing for adjudications, competitions, masterclasses, and festivals?

Please ask Sara and Noah about the myriad opportunities for performing in and around the Willamette Valley! There are concerto competitions, solo competitions, recitals, composition festivals, low-pressure performing festivals (even one for duets!), masterclasses (where you have a chance to have a lesson with a visiting teacher/performer), and adjudications (where you are "competing" against yourself--for a rank, a level, or some great advice.) The school district even has the annual Solo and Ensemble competition you can enter if you're a student in a school orchestra, band, or choir, and you're also studying privately.

Sara is a member of MTNA, OMTA, and Salem District OMTA--here is a link to some of their awesome events this year: http://omta-salem.org/event-deadlines-dates-forms.htm If you're interested, she will prepare you for the events you choose and help you with registration. She encourages ALL of her students to at least play in Syllabus adjudications once a year, and play in all Seitzleaf Studio recitals.
